About Us
Our first product is Organic Elderberry Syrup. When I moved to Lithuania I quickly became a husband and father to my beautiful wife Aiste and our 2 wonderful daughters, Juta and Jamuna. Every family household goes through the Cold and Flu season. Fortunately, I had already been aware of the benefits of Elderberries for my own personal use but when I saw how effectively it supported the health of the whole household, my respect for Elderberry greatly increased. The Pharmacies only had 1 brand of Elderberry syrup which was expensive and made with Sugar. While it was beneficial, I decided to make my own instead. This Elderberry Syrup is our humble beginning and we sincerely wish you its good benefits.
Our commitment is to always pursue the highest of Quality Ingredients which are ethically and environmentally sourced. If an ingredient we have is not certified organic then it is at least tested to be free from harmful pesticides and heavy metals.
Vision
Our greater vision is to create environmentally sustainable socio-economic business partnerships with other like minded and ethically driven companies. By cooperatively working together to create better industries we can directly support the growth of more enduring, sustainable and innovative Communities. We want to reverse the trend of people needing to move into the city for want of better paying work or for wishing to send their children to better schools which are most often only found in cities.
When I moved to Lithuania from the United States, there were few quality natural, vegan and vegetarian foods available here. I personally wished to see more products in the market place that would help me and my family to eat a more plant based diet. I also wished to find more natural plant medicine based remedies.

Another goal of ours here at Kalnaragis that is equally very important is to support Fair Trade. As our business grows we will strive to source socially and ecologically sustainable products. In order to quality as a Fair trade ingredient, the prices paid for such products must also be fair to the producers (not only to the buyer) thereby helping producers to maintain the longevity of their greater social, environmental and community needs. The priority of Fair Trade is to ensure that the relationships between buyer and seller are of mutual, sustainable benefit. This kind of transaction will help to ensure that there is a solid and vital ground for future generations to improve and expand upon.
The more people understand the relationships between the foods we eat and the implications it has for the health of humanity, for animals and for Nature, then the more people will seek out healthier food alternatives. Education is essential for this awareness to grow in our greater world community. It is our wish to fill this need in whatever ways we can in order to help ensure a better quality of life for all beings.
